Do:
- Take care of your image. Shower often. Smell nice. Pay attention to details in your clothes. Brush your teeth. Walk with confidence. Exercise. Eat healthy. Stay fit.
- Take care of your hair. Now this should have been included with the first Do but it's so important it needs its own bullet point. Your entire look can be changed with the right haircut. Just like girls' hair can be soft and wonderful, guys' hair should be too. If you are bald and you're reading this, disregard this point and skip to number three.
- Be a gentleman. What does this mean? Well first you need to understand that girls are influenced by those dumb sappy movies and they expect you to treat them well: open doors for them, give them your jacket. I'm not saying do it all the time but it definitely scores bonus points.
- Help with house things. Just because your mom or sister usually does the dishes doesn't mean she actually likes the dishes. Personally I hate vacuuming-- it drives me crazy. Plus if the work gets done with two people you have more time to go out and enjoy the night.
- Compliment often. If there's one thing I can't stand about some girls is that they are always fishing for compliments. But every once in a while, saying a genuine compliment is nice to hear.
- Do communicate. Enough said.
- Do hold hands after a fight even if its tough. It helps you understand the other person's heart and you will reconcile much quicker.
- The most important thing you need to take away --even if you ignore everything else-- smile!! I cannot tell you how much of a difference a smile can make. In my opinion, the most beautiful people are the ones who smile a lot and strive to make others smile. It's super attractive and you can never go wrong. Plus, a smile is charity. ;)
Do Not's
- Do not take pictures of yourself (using the bathroom mirror) that showcase your muscles and how much you work out daily because that screams total show-off. Ask yourself why you work out. If it is so that you can impress someone, chances are you won't be exercising for life. Exercise should be for yourself, because it makes you feel good and happy.
- Do not gossip. Yes. Boys gossip as well.
- Do not let yourself get angry so easily. Relationships are hard because you are constantly with someone and alone time is hard to find. Try to pick your fights. Try to let things go. Think about the importance of the issue before lashing out. Dude, chill.
- Do not spend your entire time with your significant other. Life is about balance and a little alone time is always needed.
- Do not treat your wife better than your mom. Instead treat them equally because chances are, the way you treat your mom is how you will treat her.
I will probably be adding more later but I hope you enjoyed my little compilation so far. Let me know in the comment section below if you agree or disagree. And if you have anything to add I would love to hear it!
