What an amazing journey. The only proof I have from the trip are the pictures I took and the fading henna on my hand....
I had to remind myself multiple times to just look around and commit everything to memory. I don't want to forget. Every year I say to myself, next year will be different--for better or worse--so take it in and enjoy this moment. I guess I'm better at living in the moment but then I get stuck on that moment and I don't want to leave.

These kids need us. Everyone needs us. But I'm sure I need them more. I'm selfish that way. That's one of the many things I learned about myself on this fantastic journey.
It was long and crazy. I am definitely a pro traveler now. ;)
Now that I'm back so many things have changed for the upcoming year but I want to thank everyone for being awesome.
I will miss your kindness and generosity. I will miss your smiling faces and never ending joy. I will miss your laugh and your voice. I will miss you growing up. I wish I lived closer. I wish a lot of things. But I thank Allah swt every day for giving me the best family ever.
Alf alhamdulilah.
