Where am I?

Bismillah....
Getting lost is a specialty of mine.

Today I saw a car sticker saying "All who wander are not lost". Do you wander often? Here's a list of my 'lost' moments and I hope you can contribute your stories in the comment section below!

Once I went to a fancy mall a little farther from my house hoping my instinct would tell me how to get drive back home. After shopping and finding nothing (because fancy = expensive) I hopped into my car only to find I was low on gas. So, instead of heading north toward home, I ventured south in search of a gas station. Soon after I arrived in a city where all the buildings look exactly the same and I had spent a good 20 minutes driving in circles. Next thing I know I'm on a toll road heading towards the mountains. Here I was, crying tears of laughter and my blurry vision misread the nearest highway exit to be the street I live on. I jump three lanes and exit immediately when I see three gas stations on the same intersection! I panicked, chose closest station and asked the cashier inside abut how to get home-- he seemed more lost than I was and had never even heard of my city. XD I went for plan B and asked about the city I had arrived in (turns out I was three cities away from home) and how to find the highway once again. Long story short, I got home but I never forgot how to drive home from that fancy mall. Also, if you're lost on the highway, take the first exit you find and ask someone for directions.

It was the first day of University and this new school campus was much bigger than the community college I was transferring from. I specifically arrived an hour and a half earlier to make sure I beat the parking crazies. Thankfully I was able to find a parking spot quickly and I leisurely strolled towards the school. It was a wonderful fall morning and so I let my feet take me wherever, following the crowds of students and being confident that they would take me to my destination. It seems that I get distracted by my surroundings pretty easily because every so often I would leave the group I was following and follow a different group of students. Before I knew it, I was walking around the entire school, entering "no student" zones and construction areas. I went uphill, downhill, through alleys and across lawns.......only to find myself exactly where I had begun...... an hour earlier. Soon enough, I did what I always do when lost: talk to random strangers and ask for directions. It really does help because I got to class on time. :D

My dad needed someone to drive him to the car dealership to pick up his car so I went with him. Once there, he had to talk to the mechanic and told me to wait in the car. I don't know why, but I always panic as soon as a car comes up behind me and I moved from where my dad told me to wait. I immediately call him (because the was no where to park) and ask him where I should wait. He suggests I park in the bus area....until the bus shows up! So I continue to the light and since there was no one behind me, I just waited there for a few signals. Again a car comes up behind me and I start driving aimlessly. I need to get back to my dad but I can't find a U-turn so I try to turn onto a one-way street, panic and make crazy U-turns so that I don't crash. Continuing on this one-way road I eventually notice two things: 1) I'm running out of gas (this happens a lot) and 2) I see an airplane! I follow the direction of the airplane knowing there is an airport nearby and I know how to get home from there not to mention there are always gas stations near airports.  Fast forward to me filling my car, watching the airplanes, and dreaming of adventure once more.

Has this happened to you?
